Accessing the Settings menu
The easiest way to access the settings menu on the OrCam MyEye is via voice commands.

  • The voice command to enter the settings menu is: "Hey OrCam, Enter the User Menu"
  • You can also double-tap on the touch bar and, after the long beep, say :"Enter the User Menu".

You can also access the settings menu manually by long pressing the power button, and at the same time swipe the touch bar and then release the power button.

Navigating the Settings Menu
Once you are in the audio settings menu, listen carefully to the audio instructions.

  • Touching the touch bar confirms the selected option;
  • Swiping along the touch bar browses through the options.
  • Double-tapping the touch bar either sends the device back to the main menu or exits the audio settings menu.

If you do not make a selection, the device will repeat the same message. If no action is made
before 30 seconds transpire, the device will automatically exit the audio settings menu.

You can also adjust many of your device's setting on the smartphone app.

  • Please note that your device needs to be connected to the wall charger to connect to WiFi.
  • Connecting to WiFi is not necessary to operate the device. The only reason to connect your device to WiFi is to ensure you have the latest software updates.
  • You can connect to WiFi by the website as described in the video, or using the app. For more information on this option check out this article.

NOTE: There are a few ways to enter the Bluetooth settings on your OrCam device. The video explains the manual option and the vocal command option using the double tap.

The easiest way to get to the OrCam Bluetooth audio settings is to simply say, 'Hey OrCam. Connect to the Bluetooth audio device'.  Wait a few seconds and follow the device instructions.

Video 4: Charging and connecting to the OrCam Bluetooth earphones

This was also covered in the Setup Video tutorial section

NOTE: When using the vocal command to connect to the earphones, if you find the double tap challenging, you can instead simply say, 'Hey OrCam. Connect to the Bluetooth Audio Device'. The 'Hey OrCam' vocal command can be used instead of the 'double tap' which is then followed by a long beep.
