Sometimes you might want to prevent the device from updating to the newest software version. In this article we're diving into the details of how to keep the existing version on your device.
If you have decided that you wouldn't want to update your MyEye device to the new version, you can prevent the device from downloading the update.
To do so:
- Disconnect the device from WiFi so that it doesn't download the update automatically, following one of the two paths below:

- Access the main menu on your device; access the 'Connectivity settings menu' in it; then access the 'WiFi settings menu;' choose the option 'Remove all WiFi networks.'
- Scan the QR code below with your device by taking a picture of it as if you were performing basic reading with the OrCam.
- Disable all connected features (features that are accessible on your device through a connection to the Internet): Access the main menu on your device; access the 'Connectivity settings menu' in it; then access the 'Connectivity feature menu;' choose the option 'Disable.'
Following this, your OrCam will not download the new update and will instead keep your current software version until you decide to manually connect to WiFi.
