Can I dim or turn off the flash on the OrCam Read?

OrCam Devices require sufficient levels of lighting to be able to read text. if the the ambient light is insufficient the flash can help the device to see the text.

If you wish to disable the flash you do so either with a vocal commands, or in the settings menu.

To disable the flash with vocal commands:

Rapidly double tap on the trigger button and, after the long beep, say: "Disable the auto flash"
- To enable the auto flash again, rapidly double tap on the trigger button and, after the long beep, say: "Enable the auto flash"
Alternatively, if you have enabled "Hey Orcam" on your device, you can simply say: "Hey OrCam, disable the auto flash"
- To enable the auto flash again, simply say: "Hey OrCam, enable the auto flash"

To disable the flash in the settings menu:

Enter the settings menu.

Scroll through until you reach "General Settings Menu" and tap the trigger button to select.
Scroll through until you reach "Enable or disable the automatic flash"and tap the trigger button to select.
Follow the prompts to enable or disable the automatic flash.
